About This Project

Our first step toward lasting change

This is where Moosa Trust UK began, with a simple goal: fund one water well for one community. £500 was raised from family and community donations, and the full amount was donated to build a branded Moosa Trust UK water well in Sallikkelappu, Sri Lanka.

The well was delivered through Benefit Mankind, an established charity with experience and infrastructure on the ground. As a new trust, we work with established organisations like this to leverage their expertise and economies of scale, ensuring your donations are delivered effectively and efficiently. As we grow and build our own knowledge, we hope to deliver projects directly in the future, insha'Allah.

Alhamdulillah, the well is now complete and in full use. Benefit Mankind has sent us their project report confirming completion, along with photographs from construction through to the finished well. Families who previously lacked a reliable source of clean water now draw it close to home, every day.
