Our Foundation

Built on Trust,
Driven by Faith

Moosa Trust UK is an unincorporated charitable trust established to relieve poverty and hardship — wherever it exists. Guided by Islamic principles of Amanah (trust), Ihsan (excellence), and Rahma (mercy), every donation is handled with complete transparency.

We use Gift Aid to cover overheads (or covered by trustees) to ensure that 100% of every pound you give reaches those in need. Your gift is a Sadaqah Jariyah — a continuing charity whose reward flows long after.

إِذَا مَاتَ الإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ

"When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, knowledge that benefits, or a righteous child who prays for them."

What We Do

Creating Lasting Change

We channel your generosity into three core areas where impact is measurable, sustainable, and life-changing.

Clean Water

Water Wells & Purification

Access to clean water transforms entire communities — reducing disease, freeing children to attend school, and restoring dignity. Every well is a Sadaqah Jariyah.

Education

Schools & Learning

Education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. We fund schools, supplies, and teacher training in underserved communities worldwide.

The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.

We are currently an unincorporated charitable trust with income expected to remain below £5,000 in 2026. If the Trust exceeds the registration threshold (£5,000 annual income), trustees will take appropriate steps to register with the Charity Commission.
Every penny donated goes directly to beneficiaries and charitable projects. Operational costs (minimal administrative expenses, banking fees, website hosting) are covered via Gift Aid or, if higher, separately by the trustees personally — ensuring your full donation creates impact.
Your donation goes directly to charitable causes: clean water projects, education initiatives, and poverty relief. We use Gift Aid to cover overheads (or covered by trustees) to ensure 100% of every pound you give reaches those in need.
Our trustees carefully review needs and opportunities, prioritising relief of immediate hardship alongside sustainable initiatives in education and clean water. We communicate all major decisions and provide regular updates to donors on fund allocation and project outcomes.
Yes! If you're a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid allows us to claim an additional 25p for every £1 you donate at no extra cost — significantly increasing your impact. Gift Aid options are available through our Givey page.
Yes! For online donations made via Givey, you'll automatically receive an email confirmation with the amount and date. For bank transfers or standing orders, we can provide confirmation upon request via email at [email protected].
We send email updates to all subscribers after every appeal, showing projects funded, funds deployed, and real stories from beneficiaries. Each appeal includes a detailed impact report with photos, testimonials, and transparent breakdowns of exactly how donations created change.
Our bank account is currently being set up with NatWest. Once live, full details will be published here. In the meantime, please donate via Givey or contact us at [email protected] to arrange payment. Regular giving, however small, sustains real lives.
We are not yet set up to accept Zakat — this is the next step in our journey. We hope to be in a position to accept Zakat donations in the near future, insha'Allah. We do accept Sadaqah and Sadaqah Jariyah donations.
We are currently not set up to accept Zakat, however we hope this will change in the future. Please consult with a qualified Islamic scholar for guidance on Zakat distributions.
Absolutely. Many donors give Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) in memory of loved ones. Just include their name in the reference field when donating, or email us at [email protected], and we'll acknowledge this appropriately in our records.
Yes. We maintain location logs for collection tins, count cash with two trustees present, and bank deposits promptly. All cash donations are recorded in our donations register — anonymous unless the donor requests acknowledgement.
We work where need is greatest. Our projects span multiple countries across Africa and South Asia, focusing on communities lacking access to clean water and quality education. We identify trusted local partners to ensure effective, dignified delivery.
